How to Use Kannada Typing Tool

A complete beginner's guide to typing ಕನ್ನಡ online — step by step with examples.

Open the Tool

Visit kannatyping.dhamakamirchi.in in any browser on your mobile, tablet, or PC. No app download needed.

Tap or click the "English Input" box on the left side.

3️⃣

Type the Kannada word phonetically using English letters. For example, type namaskara for ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ, or bengaluru for ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು.

4️⃣

After typing each word, press the Space key (or tap Space on mobile keyboard). The word instantly converts to accurate Kannada in the output panel.

5️⃣

If a word converted incorrectly, tap/click that word in the output panel. A popup shows alternative suggestions — tap the correct one.

6️⃣

Once done, click the Copy Kannada button. Paste the Kannada text anywhere — WhatsApp, Facebook, Gmail, Word, Google Docs, etc.
